Web
Site Design
involves creating a custom web site with one or more
pages. A typical web site consists of a home page with
eight to ten sub pages. Web sites may contain a combination
of content, graphics and animation.
There are several considerations when determining the
style and functionality for a web site. Below you will
find an outline of our systematic approach towards designing
a new web site.
Requirements
Gathering
To
help us sift through the wide range of options, we
begin with the requirement gathering / brainstorming
process. To educate our web designers about the specific
needs of the site to be designed, we provide a detailed
questionnaire to each client. After the completed
questionnaire is reviewed by our designers, the concept
phase begins. An early concept of the home page is
made available to the client. Once we receive client
approval, our programmers begin the development phase.
Development
At
the beginning of this phase, the client is expected
to provide copy and content for the entire site. For
those who need assistance, IWD does offer a Copy
Writing/Content Editing Service. Once all the
content has been incorporated into the appropriate
pages, we test the site on different internet browsers.
After site development is complete, the client may
access the site for a final review and approval to
deploy.
Go
Live!!
The
final step before project sign off is to conduct a
comprehensive test on the live site. We test all functionality
(i.e. links, images, email forms, comment forms, etc.)
in the most recent versions of IE and Netscape.
At
IWD we view the internet as a powerful tool to increase
visability and growth for a business. The launch of

Copy
Writing/Content Editing is
a service for clients who either lack the time to create
the text content for their site, or who would like assistance
in refining their own ideas. At IWD we understand web
site usage; content needs to be easy to
read, accessible, and make good use of the viewer's
time. The IWD staff works closely with
our clients to determine the tone and style of the content,
and what information is essential to getting the message
across.
Ad
Campaign Design is
a service we recently added as part of our ongoing involvement
in the fight against pediatric cancer. The ad we developed
was a public service announcement (PSA) designed to
increase awareness of Neuroblastoma, an aggressive pediatric
cancer. Based upon the feedback we received regarding
the impact of the ad IWD designed, we have added this
to our design services menu.
Print
Media Design is
offered for a variety of formats: postcards, business
cards, brochures, tri-folds, flyers, letterhead and
more.
Web
Site Hosting
is the service needed for a web site to be visible on
the internet. Choosing a domain name (example: www.infinitewebdesigns.com)
and finding a reliable hosting provider are essential
to the success of any web site. IWD can assist clients
with domain name registration and offers a web hosting
service.
Web
Site Maintenance is
needed to keep your web site up date and looking fresh
after its initial launch. This service is offered to
our clients and is highly recommended.
Logo
Design is the
first visual representation of you and your business.
You know the old saying "you never get a second
chance to make a first impression".
